My apologies for the month long hiatus, as I have been busy with school assignments and exams. I am now back to clear my backlogs so expect more food posts from me, especially during this Christmas period :)
Don't be mistaken with Arbite @ Serangoon Gardens.
Though both restaurants are managed by chef and owner Marc Wee, it serves two
different concept of food as well as layout. Over here at A for
Arbite, the classroom inspired atmosphere just gives it a more casual, back-to-school
feel. You will be surprised that all these delectable dishes are invented by Marc and it is all about adding fusion to local delights. One thing I love about A for Arbite is their generous portion of food.

SYNC Korean Fusion Bistro powered by Samsung is located in the west area, right at Jurong East, Westgate Mall. It can be linked from Samsung store which is situated at Level 1 of Westgate Mall, or you can access through their main entrance at Level 3.
The crafted menu is an infusion of Korean cuisine and western cuisine. The family friendly restaurant caters to all ages including kids' meal. SYNC’s desire to build a community relationship through food and technology. With that said, SYNC is wired with free Wi-Fi, even their menu is electronically view from a Samsung Tab.
Gamja Tuikim [$6.90] - fries topped with kimchi and nacho cheese
Some may think that that is a weird combination, well I have my doubts previously too. But it turned out surprisingly good, it added the extra crunch with the chunks of kimchi. A great appetiser to kick start the meal with.

This is a serious backlog of my travelogue, have been posting so much food that I forgot about my wanderlust :)
Went to Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto) during November 2013, for 11days! As the transportation in Japan can be quite costly, my bff and I decided to hotel hop, hopping it would save us some extra cash for more food haa. The weather during that period was just chilly, so a extra jacket over is warm enough.
Took Delta for a direct flight for about 6 to 7 hours
First thing at the airport, is to activate our JR passes which includes unlimited Shinkansen (Bullet Train), S$380/person, subject to the currency rate on the day or purchasing.
Take note that you must purchase your JR Pass from your origin country such as your local JTB (Japan Tourism Board) counters or other agents who sells them. And activation is to be done in Japan.
Our first hotel is located in Asakusa, we took the Narita Sky Access Line which cost us 1060yen.
It's time vs money, whereby you can get the direct line but it cost more. We got the cheaper and slightly longer journey (50mins to an hour). Click for more information on Narita Airport Transport.
Even if you feel lost, just approach the staff and they will direct you, however their command of English isn't very good so it would be good to know a few basic Japanese words.
Cushioned seats ftw!
Beware of the loud sound/impact from the metros (trains) that pass by each other.
And by the way, Japan has a lot of stairs and finding elevator can be difficult and is usually located quite a distance away from the train gantry. Imagine carrying your luggage up these stairs~
Vending machines are everywhere! You'll never go thirsty or hungry :D
After about 10mins walk, we have reached the Agora Place Asakusa cozy lobby.
This is an environmental friendly and affordable hotel, with additional items for sale or rent at an extra fee. The downside of the hotel is the really small room and bed, we can't even open our luggages in the room.
Tips: Free WiFi

By Metro:
1min walk from B2 Exit of Tawaramchi Staion(Ginza
line)
6mins walk from A1 Exit of Asakusa Station(Asakusa
line)
5mins walk from A5 Exit of Kuramae Staion(Oedo
line)
To prevent major confusion, do study the metro map before coming to Japan!
The metro lines are operated by several companies, and our JR passes are not applicable on Tokyo Metro Line. Metro ticket packages are available too.
Took the metro to Ueno, and venture into Ameyoko Shopping Street.
It is located along the Yamanote Line tracks between Okachimachi and Ueno Stations.
It would be nice to have something hot on a raining day, we chanced upon this shop and bff is a fan of Korean food, so we decided to give this a try.
Hotteok (Sweet Korean Pancakes) with red bean fillings tasted so good!
Went over to Atre Ueno to get some ramen fix! Ichiran was having a long queue then thus we settle for the one beside, which is equivalently good (how bad can it get, it's Japan yo!).
Every thing is to be ordered via the vending machine. Technology wins in Japan :)
Sadly there wasn't any English language on the machine, we figured out by the pictures and some Chinese characters. Oh insert money first then select.
After paying through the machine, get seated and pass this to the staff, who will then start to prepare your food.
We ordered a set of Spicy Vegetable Noodles (recommended by the chef) + Pork Gyoza for a start as we intended to have a second round else where. We were shocked by how big the bowl of spicy vegetable noodles are, even though we are sharing, we have difficulties finishing it haa! Oh the noodles and goyza were a amazing start to my Japan trip.
Besides vending machines, there were also tons of toy capsule machines!
It started pouring again, so we decided to seek shelter at the Taiyaki shop. And the smell and heat coming from the shop makes us hungry again haa.
This is slightly different from Singapore's Taiyaki, they didn't cut the shape out but rather serves with the crispy corners. It is one of Japan's popular dessert, with red bean fillings.
The Japanese are very generous with the quantity. Thumbs up!
Since it's still rather early, we decided to visit the Tokyo SkyTree.
The 634m high Tokyo SkyTree is awarded the tallest tower in
the world on 2011
Not a good day to visit Tokyo SkyTree with the continuous rain and foggy view :(

That is a very long and delicious description! I love that the foie gras goes really well with the beef patty and sauce, it compliments each other. Like how crispy the bun was too! It is definitely a challenge to have a bite of everything, thus I have it layer by layer haa.

Have you been to the newly attraction located in Resorts World Sentosa, that was opened in June? It's just located near the Sentosa Boardwalk entrance. Highly recommend to walk in if you are visiting the Trick Eye Musem first, as it only cost S$1 via the Boardwalk and S$4 via the tram, in addition it's quite a walking distance to the museum via tram too.
In fact I had been to Trick Eye Museum in Seoul, go have a look if you are interested.
With the experience I had in Korea, what's there to miss in the one in Singapore?
(Where it all started) TRICK EYE MUSEUM KOREA
Trick Eye opened in December 2010 featuring 3D art exhibition. The museum is located at the centre of Seoul's nouveau art hub, Hongdae, where various popular cultural events attract a stream of young art lovers. All works in Trick Eye museum create illusions which allow the guests to perceive a three-dimensional object or scene. Featuring a good collection of 2D & 3D art and sculptures, the works are specially designed for photo opportunities. Consequently, these radical forms of art which require the active participation of the viewers became a draw for tourists. Trick Eye has seen grown to be one of the best must-visit attractions for tourists visiting Korea.
Oh one more thing, if you are new to the 3D exhibitions. Here's a little 'how to go about':
How it will look like :)

Some information brought to my
attention was in fact the Domino’s unique selling points:
- 30mins delivery guarantee
If they fail to deliver the pizzas to you within 30mins, they will give you a free regular pizza voucher.
How do they do that? Remember the list of outlet at the top
of my post, they are all strategically located with a riding distance of 15mins
perimeter in order to achieve the free delivery motto. Any other further
locations out of their 15mins perimeter, I’m afraid they will have to reject
your order.
- 15mins takeout guarantee
Similarly if they fail to serve you your takeout orders within 15mins, they will give you a free Personal Pizza
voucher.
- Product Satisfaction Guarantee
Your pizza is guaranteed to be
served hot, fresh, and great tasting when it arrives at your doorstep,
otherwise we’ll replace your order or refund your money.
- Nett Pricing
Domino’s pricing is all
inclusive. We do not add any extra charges for delivery, ERP or GST. So what
you see is what you pay!
Domino’s is the first pizza company in Singapore to introduce the Great Pizza Service Tracker (GPS Tracker) for online ordering. It provides consumers the connectivity to view the status of their orders while being on the go. I have tried that and I think it is so efficient, because you can gauge the arrival timing and you could even go for a shower and not miss that doorbell.

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Domino's Pizza SG and The Influencer Network for bringing like-minded Bloggers together to indulge the Domino's way.
