If you do not know, McDonald is sociocultural. McDonald’s caters its menu in different countries around the world and they cater specialized menus to suit different cultures, e.g. McDonald serves beer in Germany.
Likewise, McDonald's sausage in Taiwan contains pork.
One of my goal when I travel, is to try the McDonald's in that country. You'll be surprise with the menu :)
Off for breakfast slightly earlier today as we are heading for Hot Spring! Which is totally not researched in my itinerary, as we thought it's covered in the guided tour.
We went to the concierge and ask them to recommend us of places we can go grab food nearby. We were told just opposite the hotel there's a few stretch of streets that has food.
How can you come Taiwan and not drink bubble teas? Haaahaas.
We are going on a one day tour today! As usual not in time for breakfast and we left on a empty stomach :(

It's a monument built in memory of former president Chiang Kai-Shek. Rainy day and we have got no umbrellas plus it's chilly cold in this weather, we rather stay put and keep warm on the mini bus.

We witnessed the ceremony changing guards, sadly on a rainy day. They do it hourly so make sure to come at the correct time to prevent waiting too long.
Early birds gets to eat the worm. Well, I'm not one of the early birds for sure and I always ended up missing the hotel breakfast.
Out finding food near the hotel and we found good stuffs!! :) They serve super yummy Fried Dumplings 锅贴 and Steamed Dumplings 水饺 at reasonable price too.
It's my first trip there and I'm spending all 6D5N solely in Taipei only! Crazy as it sounds, I managed to comb almost all night markets there haahaas!
We've got hotel transfer straight to our hotel, Cosmo Hotel 天成大飯店.
The main thing I love about the hotel is the heated toilet bowl seats!! I went in March so the weather is still a little chilly and the heated toilet bowl seats came in handy.
