Montana Brew Bar specializing in waffles and coffee, an urban chic coffee brew bar. They are also the ones behind Nookie Yoghurt located directly outside of Montana (right beside Ya Kun Kaya Toast). Glad to get my hands on the highly raved waffles!

It is pretty rare of cafés to seek feedbacks and response of customers and make amendments to make it better. Oh did I mentioned that you can now decide the waffle base! You can choose between the option of a crispy waffle base, The Big Crunch, or a fluffy one, The Fluffy Soufflé.

For the coffees, you can choose the brew followed by the beans. They have the Espresso Bar and Slow Bar. The price range for the coffee ranges between $4 to $5, for such a big cup I think it is worth it. As you can tell, by the time we are done taking the photos, our coffee turned cold.

We got to try Truffle Jalapeño Mac & Cheese (version 2.0) [$11.50] - I was skeptic about the combination of Mac & Cheese with waffles at first, but the taste proved me wrong. Though I did not try the first version but this is relatively good to me. Additionally, the homemade tomato dip compliment the taste further, it was quite a crowd-pleaser so do give that a try!

It isn't as cheesy as the usual Mac & Cheese, the texture is still there. Plus with the truffle-bodied was in every bite. Also, it is best eaten hot, once it get cold it tends to be harder and drier.

Southern Fried Chicken Wafflewich (Version 2.5) [$9.50] - another recommended dish after Mac & Cheese. This version is served with spicy southern mustard coleslaw, when it comes to coleslaw my palate tends to be slightly picky and I don't quite like the taste of the blend. The dish would be perfect if the chicken is crispier and not soaked with the coleslaw.

For the sweet waffles, we tried the Matcha Strawberry Field Waffle [$9.50] as the Red Velvet Waffle Stack is sold out. Matcha Strawberry Field Waffle is a matcha waffle topped with strawberries, mango passionfruit spheres and vanilla ice cream. The matcha waffle is well balanced with the bitterness of matcha and rose water white chocolate drizzle.

For sweets, it is recommended to go with their waffle base, The Fluffy Soufflé, which is gentle on the crisp yet having chiffon like munch. Kudos to Montana for inventing such delectable waffles!
