I proudly present to you, TheShiokBook | $45 - a dining guide consisting of 1-for-1 main course and 25% off your total bill offers over 60 different restaurants and cafes. For the list of merchants, kindly visit www.theshiokbook.com.
The book launch was held at The Laneway Market (one of the participating merchant) and the amazing food was served. It started with their smooth and milky coffee, Cold Pressed Coffee | $6.50 (not forgetting the cute bottle too!) From the top left to right, Salmon | $23 - aburi smoked
salmon topped with mircogreens, citrus, pickled radish, smoked capsicums and drizzled with garlic
soy. Such a healthy combination and still taste as good.
Next, Beef | $24 - a 42 days aged rump atop a bed of truffle mashed potato, served alongside porcini pate, aburi cauliflower, ponzu jus and miso ginger. It might have taken too long in photo-taking that the beef turns tough, otherwise I think it would be good. Followed by, Sous Vide Poached Eggs | $17 - 24hours beer infused pork with mirepoix pain de mie and smoked capsicums. Ending it with my favourite dish, Risotto | $21 - a combination of hon dashi, ceps (a type of European mushroom), onsen egg, beurre noisette poached crab and sprinkled with bonito flakes. There you have it, one of my favourite place to go for risotto!

A little background on the company, Dream Marketing, founded in 2014 and TheShiokBook happens to be their first product. What I like about the company is their passion. They gives back to the society by donating S$10 from each TheShiokBook sale when you make your purchase online. You have the ultimate choice to decide which fundraising organisations you to donate to. The fundraising organisations includes:
- Singapore Cancer Society - a self-funded voluntary welfare organisation dedicated to minimising the impact of cancer through public education, screening, patient services, financial assistance, research and advocacy.
- Assisi Hospice - a Catholic charity committed to providing hospice and palliative care to patients with life limiting illnesses.
- Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore - an independently administered charity on a simple mission – to directly improve the health and well-being of children in Singapore.
