hiatus, the matriarch Ellenborough Market Café returns with a bolder and modern
Peranakan experience, which highlights heritage-meets-contemporary style. Along

favourites and now offers a wider international spread with action stations
that will spoil you for choice led by Executive Chef Louis Tay.
Chef Louis Tay joins
SwissĂ´tel Merchant Court with over 33 years of experience through a series of
progressive positions with various renowned hospitality brands, from the most
recent position of Executive Chef at The Tanglin Club Singapore. He will
oversee the daily operations of the division including Crossroads Bar and Blue
Potato restaurant located within the hotel, as well as banquet events and
in-room dining.

My family often
visit Ellenborough Market CafĂ© to celebrate my grandma’s birthday as she’s a Peranakan
Nyonya. Now with the refreshed look and the wider buffet spread, I’m sure they
will be contented for there is something more for everyone, from
traditional to international dishes.
Also look out for the new menu highlight such as Roast Beef, Jumbo Prawn and Braised Pork Belly La Mian that are hand-pulled by a La Mian Master (action station).
