Dallas Restaurant & Bar showcases a contemporary bar/bistro concept and offers a medley of mouth-watering meals, bar bites a great selection of fine wines. Dallas newest outlet is smacked between Towers One and Five of the Suntec City Sky Garden. It features a glass house like design with a view of the Suntec City area that can accommodate 92 guests, as well as offering an outdoor space with a pool and seats 70 guests. 

Whet your taste buds as you savour the appetisers with a modern twist. First off the list, Snapper Fish Tacos | $22 (3 pieces) / $8 additional piece, which is also my favourite off the lot. It consisted of three mini flour tortillas with chunky pieces of deep-fried snapper with slivers of Spanish onions and cabbage and homemade pineapple chutney. Garnished with chipotle mayonnaise and strips of baby radish.

Another three-piece starter for the meat lover, Crispy Pork Belly Tacos | $14 / $5 additional piece with crispy pork belly on mini flour tortillas with guacamole spread and drizzled with homemade aioli. Garnished with pickled Spanish onions and slices of fresh jalapeno.

Lastly, Jalapeno Croquettes | $15 (4 pieces - it's short of one in the photo) are like deep-fried nuggets of breaded mashed spuds mixed with béchamel sauce, shredded cheddar and chopped pickled jalapeno peppers. Accompanied by green chilli mayonnaise at the side.

If all the above are too heavy for you light eaters, go for the roasted to tender perfection Grilled Corn | $6 (not featured), they are topped with chipotle mayonnaise and sprinkled with parmesan cheese shavings.

The main highlight of the meal has to be the irresistible Dallas Meat Platter | $70 for 2 person / $130 for 4 person (the above photo is a 2 person portion). The platter comes with a bed of roasted potatoes and four different meat atop, each portioned respectively based on 2 or 4 persons:

  • Grilled Australian lamb cutlets (two cutlets / four cutlets)
  • Pork ribs with tangy, sweet berry or a fiery BBQ sauce before slow-cooking for two hours (four ribs / eight ribs)
  • Rotisserie chicken immersed in a special sauce overnight and finished off with a dry chilli rub before roasting it for three hours (quarter chicken / half chicken)
  • Prime rib steak cooked medium rare (250g / 300g)

Each platter is also accompanied by a mushroom or black pepper sauce and a choice of mustards.
