Gastronomia is one of Da Paolo Group's brainchild. Others includes a bistro, pizzeria and a catering arm which remains wholly owned and operated by the family. Gastronomia is an eat-in and take-out one-stop gourmet boutique, and is also conveniently housed in Cluny Court, just opposite the Botanic Gardens MRT staion, exit A. The gourmet deli café is filled with freshly made food and imported produce such as homemade pasta and sauces, pizza, pastries, antipasti, desserts and authentic Italian coffee using Bristot Coffee from Italy.
The highlight of
the meal for me would be the brand new item, Ham and Cheese Croissant | $7.9.
With the made-from-scratch croissant filled with savoury and cheesy goodness béchamel
and parmesan. Because of its melted cheese over and within, the croissant doesn't
remain to its flaky texture but rather a soft and dense consistency.
Nonetheless, I love the cheesy and creamy touch to the croissant.
Now, the Salted
Egg Croissant | $6.9 on the other hand shows a perfect flaky and buttery
croissant. For the reason that the salted egg wasn't baked with the croissant but
piped in. It’s never too
late for newcomers to join the salted egg croissant war. Gastronomia should go
easy on the saltiness in the salted egg paste, it tasted like salt and egg instead
of the reminiscent of everyone’s favourite liu sha bao (salted egg bun).
Antipasti means before the meal and is a traditional first course of a formal Italian meal. Well this is run by an Italian family J
Create your own healthy meal with unlimited combinations in just 4 simple steps. Some new options includes mixed grains and quinoas with kale quinoas to poached salmon to bocconcini. The food items are charged based on the weight for instance the Quinoa with shredded kale, red cabbage and leeks | $6.9/100g and Fresh Coleslaw | $3.9/100g.
The desserts served are the boxed in
treats-to-go sizes so you can choose to complete your meal after your dinner or
have it take-away and enjoy it at the comfort of your home. We were served Gastronomia's signature dessert,
