Beginning of
2017 started off with the phrase ‘New Year, New Me’, and here I am kicking off
with a brand new hairdo at Kenjo Salon just in time for my Japan trip too! The salon is conveniently located in
Plaza Singapura and is managed by a group of dedicated team and specialists that
consist of local and Korean stylists. Upon entering, I
was greeted by the sleek interior and friendly staff. Followed by ushering to
my seat and picking my drink from the menu list, not forgetting the free wifi!

I entrusted my
hair to Justin, Senior Stylist, who has over 7 years of experience in advance
cutting, scalp specialty and creative colouring. He did not disappoint when I told
him to do as he please with my dull, black hair. I was a little sceptic
when Justin wanted to bleach my whole head, but I was rest assured as he will
be bleaching it along with Olaplex treatment. Olaplex is like an insurance for
my hair that works on a molecular level to reduce hair breakage caused by
chemical. Here’s how it works:
Olaplex No.1 Bond Multiplier is mixed with the colouring and bleaching. It rebuilds broken disulfide bonds in the hair and restoring the strength,
structure and integrity of the hair before, during and after services.
Olaplex No.2 Bond Perfector is applied on the hair after rising. It aims to pursue that hair perfection
in gaining the healthy, strong and shiny hair possible.
Justin used a variety of colours on my hair, for the outer part it’s like a red ombre and the inner part it’s a combination of blue and pink. All in all, I am pleased with the outcome although it took me awhile to get used to such bright colours (it’s my virgin bleach y’all). All my portraits in Japan turned out great because of the pretty colours I have on my hair! Kudos to Justin :)
On top of that I was given Davines’
